In 1952 Frank and the family invested all of their savings into a new purpose built bakery in Rudheath, Northwich. Frank was investing not only in a modern bakery but in the future of his sons; Alan, Bernard and David. Sadly Frank Roberts did not live to see the results of this investment but after his untimely death in 1954, the company was run by his three sons. The business developed and grew under their leadership, producing a wide range of bakery products and delivering to customers around the world.
Today the bakery is owned by the fourth generation of the Roberts family. Mike, Julia, Lindsay, Paul, Carl and Jennie. We are celebrating this milestone with our largest single investment to date to extend the bakery and further improve our efficiency in bread baking
The family has always supported the local community and in 1980, Alan, Bernard and David agreed to support the Middlewich Town Band which Colin Cranson invited them to Sponsor. The name was changed to The Roberts Bakery Band and they have gone on to enjoy great success over the years.
In 2013 Colin retired as Musical Director after 41 years. In March 2013 Simon Stonehouse took the position of Musical Director. We wish him and the band every success.
